Sweet mashup album using all samples from Nintendo 64 games for the beats.

"This is the first of three mashup albums I made combining the music of Nintendo 64 soundtracks with acapellas of rappers I admire. Throughout the 3 volumes, no game is repeated and no rapper is repeated, the total number of emcees being 94.

And though I do plenty of cutting and pasting of the underlying beat, no overdubbed drums or anything created on my part is added, all that you hear is straight from the game. This was done to show that there are some pretty viable hip-hop beats in Nintendo 64 games, despite the technological limitations. Throughout the 3 volumes there are also some beats however that are not even close to hip-hop, however they are still kept as is in the interest of consistency, but also to mix it up from track to track. Close attention was paid to make sure the acapella fits with the n64 track, whether it be stylistically consistent with what that artist may normally use in his music (see Del vs. Perfect Dark), or for irony's sake (see Snoop Dogg vs. Kirby pt. 2). Close attention is also paid to the sequencing of the tracks, to create an enjoyable listening experience throughout. "
